The article is devoted to study of the peculiarities of mathematical training of future primary school teachers for the introduction of innovative technologies in the educational process. Special attention is focused on the fact that the strategic task of higher school is the formation of professional competence future teacher, aimed at the development of competences through innovative educational technologies. The quality of higher mathematics education is determined by a set of indicators that characterize various aspects of the educational activity of educational institution. The author came to the conclusion that the implementation the professional orientation of teaching the course “Methods of teaching mathematics” is closely related to the introduction of pedagogical innovations into the educational process. They develop students’ skills of independent mastery knowledge, contribute to the development the creative potential of the individual.
