RESULTS OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELLING OF ADOLESCENTS WITH SIGNS OF DEVIANT BEHAVIOUR

Abstract

The article presents the results of a dynamic experimental psychological examination of adolescents in the process of psychological counselling and psychocorrection in order to determine the effectiveness of the proposed methods of special psychological assistance using evidence-based psychology.Whereas psychological counselling was based on the principles of systemic family psychotherapy, psychocorrection methods used transactional analysis, symbol drama, personality-oriented psychotherapy and imagotherapy.The use of multidimensional psychological analysis makes it possible to conduct a comparative assessment of the dynamic results of the study of adolescents in the process of complex psychological correction, which was carried out in two directions: the first is special psychological assistance to adolescents aimed at psychological prevention of addictive and delinquent behavioural stereotypes; the second is constitutional- oriented prevention aimed at optimising psychological mechanisms of personality protection, which prevents the formation of negative psychotypic fluctuations.The system of psychological counselling and psychocorrection is designed in such a way that it provides an opportunity to meet with the adolescent’s family and the adolescent at least 2–3 times a week for several months in the case of constitutionally oriented psychoprophylaxis and up to one to two years in the case of psychoprophylaxis of addictive or delinquent behavioural patterns. At a certain (initial) stage of the research, it became clear that the results of psychoprophylaxis could not achieve an incomplete reduction. This required a modification of the system of special psychological assistance. Experimental psychological studies of adolescents were conducted once every 2–3 months throughout the entire period of special psychological assistance. Empirical and psychological observation, interviews were used constantly during meetings with adolescents, when psychological manifestations of personal and behavioural characteristics were studied.
