Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a special psychoeducation program for middle-level managers of higher education institutions, which is aimed at increasing awareness and equipping managers with special skills to support the professional well-being of their employees. The program was developed within the framework of the motivational and value model of professional well-being, according to which professional well-being is considered as an integrated state that is formed in connection with the extent to which the needs of the individual are realized in professional activity, considering individual values and meanings. By understanding employees' aspirations and creating an environment conducive to their realization, managers can contribute to the formation of a culture that prioritizes professional well-being and, thus, increases the motivation of each employee and the productivity of the organization. The goal of the program is to ensure the awareness of department heads in the field of psychology of professional well-being, increase motivation to promote professional well-being of employees, develop competence in the field of support, and increase psychological comfort, productivity, and job satisfaction of subordinates.The program is focused on the needs of employees; therefore, it offers effective tools to increase their satisfaction with various aspects of professional activity. Effective implementation of acquired competencies will help managers create an atmosphere of psychological safety and reduce stress levels, establish trusting and high-quality relationships at work, improve a sense of community, expand the rights and opportunities of employees, implement the practice of recognition and gratitude, increase involvement in work processes and, thus, contribute to increasing the level of professional well-being of employees.
