METHODOLOGICAL FOUNDATIONS OF ORGANIZING THE SUPERVISORY PROCESS IN TRAINING SUPPORT GROUP FACILITATORS

Abstract

The article examines the methodological foundations of organizing the supervisory process in training support group facilitators. The relevance of the problem is determined by the growing need for qualified facilitators in the context of contemporary socio-economic challenges, particularly the consequences of military actions and internal displacement of population in Ukraine.The evolution of supervisory models from individual support to modern integrative approaches has been analyzed, including individual, collegial, developmental, reflective, integrative, coaching, and group models.The specificity of support group facilitators’ activities and the main challenges of their professional practice, related to high levels of emotional burden and risk of professional burnout, have been characterized.Key principles of the supervisory process have been identified: safety and trust, reflexivity, partnership, ethics, competence development, and integrativeness. The most effective supervision methods have been systematized, including group discussions, case analysis, reflective practices, metaphorical associative cards method, and coaching techniques. Various forms of supervision implementation have been examined: individual, group, and mixed.A structured model for organizing the supervisory process has been proposed, encompassing diagnosis of facilitators’ needs, planning of supervisory meetings, conducting supervision, and evaluating its effectiveness with subsequent process correction. It has been substantiated that integration of supervision into the facilitator training system ensures the development of professional competencies, prevention of emotional burnout, and improvement of group work quality. The research results will contribute to the formation of a comprehensive system of professional support for specialists in socionomic professions.
