The article presents the results of the development and testing of a psychodiagnostic methodology for assessing the professional motivation of officers of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The theoretical basis of the methodology is a conceptual model that encompasses cognitive, emotional, behavioral, social, and normative components of motivation, ensuring a comprehensive analysis of its structure and dynamics. The methodology integrates standardized psychodiagnostic scales, value-orientation questionnaires, situational tasks, and simulation tools. It is adapted to field conditions and can be combined with psychodiagnostic scales, interviews, or performance evaluations, which makes it effective for analytical purposes. The psychodiagnostic methodology makes it possible to differentiate officer samples and to implement the assessment process in conditions that closely resemble real professional activities. It also contributes to the development of leadership skills and responsible decision-making, while demonstrating high psycho-pedagogical effectiveness through elements of experiential learning, including: a) the ability to model professional dilemmas close to real military service conditions; b) effectiveness in diagnosing officers’ motivational and leadership responses in stressful situations; c) applicability for both individual and group analysis of results; d) promotion of motivational and value-based reflections, which are important for the development of internal professional responsibility. The methodology combines scientific validity, psychometric reliability, and practical effectiveness for real combat conditions, thus creating a foundation for further empirical research into the professional motivation of officers of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
