EDUCATION AT THE ACADEMICIAN STEPAN DEMIANCHUK INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS AND HUMANITIES: INTEGRATION OF PEACE ISSUES IN THE CONTEXT OF THE EUROPEAN SPACE

Abstract

The article analyses European integration educational processes in Ukraine. Innovative activity is considered as an update of the pedagogical process, the introduction of new ideas into the traditional system, which involves the highest degree of educational and scientific activity; in the context of European integration vectors of Ukrainian science and education development, innovative activity is defined as the basis and content of innovative educational processes.The process of implementing the principles (institutional autonomy, academic freedom, educating the younger generation on the ideas of peace) of an educational institution’s entry into the European higher education area is revealed using the example of the Private Higher Education Establishment “Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities”. The integration of peace issues in the context of European space into the educational and scientific activities of the IUEH is highlighted.The integration of peace issues in the context of the European space into the educational and scientific activities of IUEH is carried out through the implementation of a university-wide comprehensive scientific theme, in the scientific and pedagogical activities of university staff, teachers, pupils and students, and the holding of international public student Readings “I Vote for Peace!”. The initiator of the first national patriotic event was Stepan Yakymovych Demianchuk. He developed an original pedagogical doctrine known in science as Peace Pedagogy.The process of internationalisation at IUEH is highlighted. It is carried out through the concluding of cooperation and partnership agreements between educational institutions, the implementation of academic mobility, virtual exchanges, the holding of international scientific conferences jointly with international partners, and the organisation and holding of joint scientific workshops, seminars, forums, round tables, etc.The process of European integration involves the implementation of a number of political, economic, social, legal and educational reforms with the aim of promoting peace.In the context of European integration in education, the following are important: creating a model of the educational process that optimally combines the best domestic and foreign traditions; combining the humanistic traditions of Ukrainian pedagogy and foreign experience in educating a personality on the ideas of peace; conducting fundamental and applied scientific research; introducing innovations into the educational and scientific process, etc.
