The article reveals the specific features of the professional training of teachers in the natural sciences education sector in the countries of the European Union in the context of modern educational transformations driven by global challenges, European integration processes, and the transition to innovative learning models. A theoretical analysis of contemporary European concepts of teacher education is carried out, focusing in particular on training models for future teachers of biology, chemistry, and physics based on the principles of academic mobility, institutional autonomy, enhanced scientific components, and partnerships with employers.The study identifies key trends in the development of professional teacher training in EU countries, including the implementation of a competence-based approach, interdisciplinary integration, digitalization of the educational environment, advancement of inclusive education, application of dual education models, and an emphasis on fostering continuous professional development.The article outlines possible ways to implement the positive experiences of EU countries into the Ukrainian system of teacher education, taking into account the national context. It substantiates the feasibility of adapting modern European approaches to the organization of professional training for future teachers of natural sciences, particularly through the introduction of modular and competence-based programs, the expansion of practice-oriented learning components, the application of modern digital technologies, and the development of international cooperation among pedagogical universities. A generalized description of European models for the training of natural science teachers is presented, aligned with the criteria of quality and effectiveness in modern education within the framework of the European Higher Education Area.
