IMPLEMENTATION OF THE GOAL AND TASKS OF NATIONAL-PATRIOTIC EDUCATION OF YOUNGER SCHOOLCHILDREN IN THE CONTENT OF THE INTEGRATED COURSE "I EXPLORE THE WORLD" AT THE NEW UKRAINIAN SCHOOL

Abstract

The article is dedicated to the pressing issue of national-patriotic education for younger students, which is an important component of the education system and social development. The article analyzes the implementation of national-patriotic education for younger students within the integrated course «I Explore the World» as part of the New Ukrainian School. The main tasks of national-patriotic education in schools are highlighted: forming national consciousness; developing civic responsibility; building intercultural understanding; fostering civic patriotism; developing communication skills; supporting spiritual development. The article reviews pedagogical strategies, methods, and practices aimed at instilling a sense of national self-awareness and patriotism in students. The authors consider the impact of an integrated approach to learning on the formation of values of citizenship and national identity in younger students. In particular, attention is focused on including the study of Ukraine’s history, culture, and language through interesting projects and practical actions in the educational process. The article also provides practical advice for teachers on the effective implementation of national-patriotic education in the content of the integrated course «I Explore the World» which contributes to the formation of civic qualities and readiness for active participation in society. The implementation of this course includes various tasks and methods aimed at forming a harmoniously developed personality, ready for active participation in the life of their country. Several ways to achieve the goals and objectives of national-patriotic education for younger students in the content of the integrated course «I Explore the World» are outlined: studying the history and culture of Ukraine; research projects with elements of cultural studies; speech development through literary works; excursions and virtual travels; festive events and thematic weeks; interactive lessons, etc.
