KEY STEPS OF INNOVATIVE TECHNIQUES IMPLEMENTATION INTO MARITIME ENGLISH TEACHING

The article reveals step-by-step of the onnivative techniques implementation into Maritime English teaching in the higher maritime education establishments. It is argued that due to the immense changes in the sphere of professional training which are caused by the need to provide the labour market with the highly competitive employees who are able to think critically and constantly develop their knowledge and skills it is especially important to shift to developmental, inquiry-based, problem-based and research forms, methods and techniques of teaching. It is stated that the implementation of the innovative teaching techniques to the process of future seafarers professional training as well as to the teaching materials creation and development, to the integration of up-to-date platforms for the on-line teaching and the adjustment to the students’ needs in the real time environment can enhance the effective formation of all vital professional skills and competencies formation and provide for the professional training of the new generation of employees able to act efficiently in term of global maritime environment. At the same time the article focuses on the fact that the process of this or that innovative teaching technique choice and implementation has to be thoroughly thought off and planned because the effectiveness of a certain teaching innovation greatly depends on the level of the innovative changes perception and the actual possibilities of their implementation. The article brings forward the idea of the six key steps of the innovation teaching techniques implementation into the foreign professionally-oriented communicative training of future seafarers. The article describes main tasks and defines the aim of each step of innovative teaching techniques implementation for the purpose of the key (strategic) goals determination and the ways of their achievement. This shall provide for the enhancement of the educational services quality and effectiveness.
