Abstract

The article highlights psychological and pedagogical foundations of educational activities in higher education institutions within the context of globalization, digitalization, and transformation of the educational space. The authors argue that the effectiveness of the educational process largely depends on considering students’ psychological characteristics, motivation, adaptive capacity, soft skills development, Vand the quality of pedagogical interaction. The article presents the results of an empirical study conducted at the Private Higher Educational Institution “International University of Economics and Humanities named after academician Stepan Demianchuk” during 2022–2024. A comprehensive methodological toolkit was used, including surveys, questionnaires, motivation tests, learning style assessments, and expert evaluation of teaching technologies.Special attention is given to the functioning of the university’s psychological support service, the development of a reflective learning environment, and the implementation of innovative teaching formats such as project- based learning, gamification, and digital platforms. The key components of psychological and pedagogical support are discussed: motivational, adaptive, developmental, and communicative. The study concludes that systematic psychological and pedagogical support fosters the formation of a competitive, socially mature, responsible, and emotionally resilient professional capable of responding to the challenges of the modern labor market and engaging in lifelong professional development.
