Abstract

The article examines the psychological factors influencing effective team management in medical education institutions under the conditions of transformations in the educational environment. The relevance of the study is determined by the importance of socio-psychological aspects of management, the need to ensure a psychological climate, develop communication, support employees’ motivation, and enhance the effectiveness of teamwork. The aim of the study is to provide a substantiation and an investigation of the psychological factors determining effective team management in medical education institutions. The research employed a combination of methods, including analysis, synthesis, generalization, systematization of literature, and a questionnaire survey. The empirical study involved 23 teachers of the Rivne Medical Academy and was conducted using an author-designed questionnaire based on concepts of management psychology, emotional intelligence, psychological safety, and supportive leadership. The analysis of scientific approaches made it possible to identify the psychological factors of effective team management, including leadership style, managers’ emotional intelligence, communicative competence, psychological safety, professional support for employees, motivation, and the team’s ability to adapt to organizational change. The survey findings revealed that the respondents considered open communication, trust, fairness in managerial decision-making, emotional support for employees, and opportunities to participate in decision-making to be the characteristics of effective management. The significance of the study lies in substantiating recommendations for improving the psychological foundations of team management in medical education institutions.
